Harris Broadcast Communications Runs Russian Technical Seminar for More Than 50 Systems Integrators and Broadcasters

MOSCOW, September 23rd, 2010 — Harris Broadcast Communications is announcing the success of its second technical workshop in Russia.  Held on August 18 and 19, 2010, at the new Harris premises in Moscow, the event focused on the topic of modular equipment for audio and video processing and conversion. More than 50 representatives from major systems integration companies and Russian Broadcasters attended the workshop where they heard updates about the latest technical developments in the following areas: modular products for audio/video conversion, including equipment for transmission over fibre optic networks; router and multiviewer technology; compression hardware; and head-ends for satellite and terrestrial digital broadcasting.

“This is the second workshop of this type we have held in Moscow, and it was extremely successful as it generated a lot of questions and discussions in the audience,” said Ekaterina Petoukhova, general director of Harris Broadcast Communications in Russia.  “Our main objective was to give our audience an overview of the technical potential of Harris modular products and to get feedback from attendees. Judging by the response from attendees, we feel this was a very beneficial exercise for all involved.”
