Harris Corporation Named “Manufacturer of the Year” for Third Consecutive Year at CABSAT 2009

Company Honored for Contributions to Growth of Middle East Broadcast Industry

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, March 24, 2009 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has been honored with its third consecutive Digital Studio “Manufacturer of the Year” Award in recognition of the contributions the company has made to the growth of the broadcast and production sectors in the Middle East.  Supported by the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers, the award was announced on March 4 at a gala event held during CABSAT 2009, the Middle East region’s leading event for the digital media industry. 

Harris has demonstrated its commitment to broadcasters in the Middle East by continuing to make investments in local staff, service and support.  Since opening its Mid-East regional headquarters in Dubai Media City in 2006, Harris has strived to better understand and support local customers through various initiatives including increasing its local sales and support staff and opening a spare parts hub in Dubai, which enables the company to respond quickly and effectively to customer needs.

The 5th Annual Digital Studio Awards gala, which took place at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, was attended by hundreds of the region's leading professionals in the broadcast, production, post and film industry, as well as systems integrators, consultants and several high-profile guests.
