Participants news19 december 2008 SIDSA brings Digital TV to Russia At Natexpo 2008 in Moscow, the company showed its DVB-T and DVB-H headends with hierarchical modulation that allow to distribute digital terrestrial and mobile TV services. Ref.CN0814 Tres Cantos, Spain, December 10th – SIDSA, the International DVB technology provider, is proposing Russian operators a combined solution to distribute digital terrestrial and mobile TV services. Through a hierarchical modulation, the company demonstrated at the recent Natexpo Exhibition in Moscow how to combine several DVB-T and DVB-H signals from a satellite transponder and a DVD player connected to its encoder. All the services were multiplexed for DVB-T and encapsulated for DVB-H, with the signal covering the whole Exhibition, using a commercial DVB-T receiver and mobile phones. The solution is ideal for Russian operators as it enables them to offer both DTT and DVB-H mobile TV services. The demonstration took place during Natexpo, in Moscow, an annual, International exhibition and conference focused on technologies, professional equipment and services for the TV, Radio and New Media Broadcasting.
