News from DISCOP 2006

With more than a decade’s experience distributing high quality comedy, this year at DISCOP 06 Avalon International will be presenting two new sketch shows alongside the international hit THE SKETCH SHOW, which has now been licensed to 31 territories.

ZONE VISION NETWORKS

Based in London, Zone Vision Networks Ltd (ZVN) is a leading international broadcaster and distributor of thematic television channels. The company was founded in 1991 and today has 18 offices and studios throughout Europe, the United States, Asia and Latin America. Zone Vision Networks owns and operates five thematic channels: Reality TV, Europa Europa, Romantica, Club and The Horror Channel, which are broadcast in over 125 countries in 22 languages, with over 150 million paying subscribers. Zone Vision Networks Ltd will be showcasing its extensive catalogue of factual and entertainment programming from IBC, Lions Gate, GRB, HTI, TNA and Xilam at Discop 06 

OASIS INTERNATIONAL

Established in 1988, Oasis International is an integrated film and tv distribution company with offices in Toronto and Los Angeles. Oasis International will be attending DISCOP 06 this year and they are proud to announce the international availability of the Lifestyle Design Series: HOUSE § HOME with Lynda Reeves. Global Television’s Hit Series HOUSE § HOME is a Prime Time series that explores new and exciting decorating ideas in some of today’s most exclusive households. Hosted by Lynda Reeves, a leading personality in the fields of interior design, decorating and lifestyle trends, each episode offers a fresh and sophisticated outlook on interior design today.

HIGH POINT

Carey Fitzgerald’s independent world sales, financing and production house, High Point, will be flying the flag in Budapest this June with a raft of new titles for DISCOP 06. Heading the mix is epic, boxing mini-series, KING OF THE WORLD. Airing domestically on Prime (Canal +) in the spring and thereafter on VTM, the five-part, punchy drama stars up-and-coming heartthrob, Kevin Janssens, as contender for the European title in the 1950s, inspired loosely by the real life champ, Cyriel Dellanoit.

MONSTER DISTRIBUTES / Non-Exhibiting SELLER.

Monster Distributes, an international distribution company which finances and distributes television series worldwide, will be represented at DISCOP 06 by Chairman Andrew Fitzpatrick. Highlights at DISCOP 06 are 115 half hour music documentary series PLANET ROCK PROFILES, sold in162 countries and on 55 airlines, new 13 x half hour documentary series BUNDOO BOYZ which takes the viewer on a journey to the wild side of Africa, new animated pre-school series I’M AN ANIMAL and so on

REGENT ENTERTAINMENT

Regent Entertainment, one of the world’s largest suppliers of Made-For Television movies, is bringing over 7 new titles to DISCOP 06 this year. Their slate includes action/disaster films, holiday movies, and thrillers. Some of these new titles include CHASING CHRISTMAS starring Tom Arnold, HONEYMOON WITH MOM featuring Shelley Long and Jack Scalia, ISOLATION starring Alexandra Paul and HIS and HER CHRISTMAS starring Dina Meyer. There is so much happening in the world of television entertainment at DISCOP06, especially from Regent!

November 8th – from 17:00 to 09:00

Official closing of the Exhibition is on November, 8th at 17.00.
